Chad's Birthday and Evans Family Visit

I'm back tracking for the next few blog posts. I want to document the month of November since I didn't have time to blog about it when it was happening.  Plus I have some really cute pictures I wanted to share!

The first weekend in November was Chad's birthday.  He turned the big 35!  His brother and SIL and their kiddos had a visit planned for that weekend.  With the effects of hurricane Sandy we weren't sure they would still be able to come.  Thank goodness the airport opened just in time for their flight and the trip wasn't canceled!

We hung out at the house on Friday and let the kids play.  Eli was so excited to see Grant and Lily!

Chad chose Gusano's for his birthday dinner.  Unfortunately Grant got sick just as we were all getting dressed to leave for dinner.  Grant and his mom stayed back while the rest of us went out to eat.

After dinner we came back and had this yummy cake from our favorite cake shop, Shelby Lynn's.

Saturday we hung around the house, watched football, and took the kids to the park.

We let the kids have a weenie roast in the backyard for dinner.  This was Eli's first time to roast hotdogs.  Normally he doesn't care for a hotdog but he ate the entire thing!  Now he insist on only eating his dog roasted over a fire.  I can't say I blame him!

And what's a weenie roast without s'mores?  Also a first for Eli.  This has also become a favorite and we've roasted marshmallows many times since this night!

The kids smelled like sweaty, campfire kids so they got a bath afterwards.  Kind of a tight fit so the bath was a quick one!

Sunday we took everyone to our favorite crepe place, Crepes Paulette, in Bentonville.

I think it's safe to say the kids liked the crepes!  Yummm!  Who doesn't like Nutella crepes?

We took a little walk down one of the city trails around the new Crystal Bridges Museum after we stuffed ourselves with crepes.  The weather was perfect and the trees were gorgeous!

The kids had fun on the sculpture art along the trail.

The 3 day weekend went way too fast.  Eli was very sad when they left Monday morning.  Hopefully it won't be too long until we see them again!
