The Farm

We went to the farm for Labor Day weekend and then again for opening dove season the next weekend.  We love going to the farm.  It's so relaxing and a great place for kids, big and little!

The hummingbirds were going crazy while we were down there!  There are about 5 feeders around the deck.  There were about 10 birds swarming around all the feeders at one time.  I could watch them all day.  I love them!

We spent some time riding around

Eli's finally big enough to drive the golf cart.  Watch out everyone!

Eli loved this tiny tree frog.  He was pretty cute!

These pictures are from the second weekend, opening dove season.
My boys both doing what they love best!

Playing a little redneck golf as we call it

He's obsessed with driving the golf cart now!

A little more redneck golf with all the guys

Don't worry folks.  It's just a Sprite.

It was pretty hot outside so we hooked up the slip and slide for all the kids.

Eli loved having other kids to play with at the farm!

Eli's first dove hunt.  I think he had a great time!

Too cool for pictures

There's nothing like farm time!

1st Day, Take Two

It was not in our original plan but Eli started a new school after the first couple of days.  It was more difficult than I imagined but it was the best decision for all of us.  Eli started on "Chapel Day" so he had to wear his chapel shirt.

They have a dress code on all the other days.  Eli was so proud to wear his belt!

After the first few days Eli decided he wanted to start walking into school by himself.  I snapped this picture while watching him walk in by him.  Before he jumped out of the car he gave me a kiss on the cheek and told me he loved me, all with out prompting.  I may have had a tear in my eye that morning!  Too sweet!

Kindergarten

I have a few days off work and we are at the farm for Thanksgiving.  I'm going to try to play catch up on the past few months just so I can have everything documented.

Eli started kindergarten back in August.  I still don't know how that happened so fast!  He was so excited and proud to be going to school with big kids.  Last year in preschool they had a field trip to an elementary school.  He has been excited ever since.  I'm happy to say there were no tears... from anyone!

We celebrated his first day of school with frozen yogurt afterwards.

My baby boy is no longer a baby.
He's a kindergartener!
