First Honeysuckle

The smell of honeysuckle takes me right back to my childhood of riding through the neighborhood and stopping to eat the honey from the honeysuckle (all while dodging the bees)! I love spring for that reason!

I introduced Eli to honeysuckle last month. We were out riding bikes and were passing all the honeysuckle bushes.

I have to admit, it took me a little bit to remember how to actually do it. But once I remembered and he figured out to do it he was hooked!

Eli has gotten so good at riding his bike without training wheels! I'm so proud of him! He can take off on his own and has figured out the brakes!

What a perfect night to ride off into the sunset

Little Rock Zoo & Circus

Yes, both of those in one weekend! A few weekends ago we drove down to Little Rock to stay with my step mom. Growing up closer to Memphis we never went to the Little Rock Zoo, we always went to the Memphis Zoo. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the Little Rock Zoo was! Eli loved it too!

Eli was exhausted towards the end of the zoo and asked for a ride.

The next morning Chad, Eli and I got donuts and coffee at Dunkin Doughnuts and drove around Bryant. Chad and I lived in Bryant, AR when we got married. We moved from there shortly after. The town has changed so much since we lived there!

We headed off to the circus later that day. Eli was so excited!

Leaving the circus. Eli was exhausted. He didn't feel great and hadn't had a nap... Not a great combo!

It was a short but fun weekend!
