Soccer Cookout

Did I ever tell you Eli was playing soccer this past Spring? Well he was, although he only actually played in one game. They were scheduled to have 5 games. We missed the first one because we were in Florida. Two were rained out. The last one we decided to miss so we could play in a golf tournament. I know. That's terrible of us! But Eli was so over soccer at this point and so were we. Honestly, Eli didn't care for it. The one game we made he was ready to go home after 30 minutes.

His soccer coach put together a cookout for the team at the end of the season. It was really fun and the kids had a great time! We met at a park, grilled hotdogs and the kids played. Eli got his first trophy! Which is already broken. But we won't go there...

Jack & Jill Golf Tournament

For some crazy reason I had the bright idea that Chad and I should play in a Jack & Jill golf tournament with the rest of my family. A lot of people who know me don't realize I know how to play golf. Maybe because I haven't played in 20 years! I grew up playing but stopped playing after about junior high. It's not that I lost interest, I just became interested in other things and golf took a back burner.

I'm so glad we signed up to play! We had the BEST time! Even if we did come in last with our score of 82! We didn't care what our score was... We were just there to have fun!

This is all of our family teams.... Carolyn (my aunt), Randy (stepdad), Me, Chad, Lauren (Chance's girlfriend), and Chance. I just want to add that Chance and Lauren came in 3rd in the entire tournament. Lauren had never played golf until about 1-2 months ago! Way to guys! Way to show us up ;)

Hole #12. I took this pic the first day. The next day I chipped it in (from the tree line on the left) for a birdie! Our only birdie the entire tournament!

I just love the delta! So beautiful to me! Maybe because I still think of this as home.

You can take the girl out of the country but you can't take the country out of the girl :)

We all decided this will become an annual event for our family!

Graduation Day

Wow, I'm really behind in blogging! Oh well... I'll catch up one day.

My brother, Chance, graduated college from the U of A on Mother's Day weekend. Woohoo! We are so proud of him!

I forced Chad to pose for a picture with me while we were waiting for the ceremony to start.

Eli did amazingly good for the first 2 hours of the ceremony, thanks to the iPad and my phone. It was really bad timing though... It was right during lunch time. I didn't plan well and did not have any snacks in my purse. Eli was starving and tired. We ended up leaving a little early but made it back for pictures afterwards.

I love this picture of Chance!

For graduation celebration we all went to eat at James at the Mill. What an awesome dinner! Good pick, Mom and Chance! What a way to end a great day!
