Lake Time

It's so hot outside.  Stupid hot!  And the only way to be outside in this heat is if you are in the water!

We've been able to go to the lake a couple of times this summer and Eli likes it even more each time!  He truly loves swimming!  Tubing, not so much!  Maybe next year he will like tubing?

Believe it or not, this was my first time in the tube since we bought our boat 7 years ago!

He just couldn't make it any longer!  The hum of the motor and the rock of the boat will do that!

I just had to share these pics because I thought they were too cute.  I was taking some pictures of the dogs laying around and Eli was sitting on the couch next to them.  He said "cheese too" and wanted his picture taken!  He got in the floor with the dogs and posed.

The best part of summer?

Swimming!  I wanted to put in Eli swimming lessons this summer but didn't get around to signing him up.  Soooooo.....it's up to me to teach him!

Eli has been doing great at swimming!  Whoever designed the puddle jumper deserves an award!

He does so much better in the puddle jumper than anything else.

I think we have a little tadpole on our hands!

Friendly Visit

Karen, my college friend who lives in Seattle now, was in town this past week.  She had Jackson one year ago and this was the first time I got to meet him!  He's such a cutie with the most gorgeous blue eyes you've ever seen!  Adrienne, my college roommate (who lives in town), came over to see Karen and Jackson too!  Adrienne's baby, Davis, is only 5 months old and is the sweetest, best baby I've ever seen!  He has the cutest grin that will make anyone smile!  It's so fun to get all the babies together even though it doesn't happen very often.

I need to learn to have better posture.  Karen and I are the same height and look how much taller she looks because I'm hunched over!  Ha!

I had a great time chatting and catching up, girls!  I wish we could get together more often!
