Chi Omega Reunion

Some of my favorite memories are those living in the Chi Omega house during college.  Some of our  1998 pledge class got together for a reunion a few weekends ago.  We were allowed to the stay in the Chi Omega house for the weekend.  I felt like we were back in college!

My best friend, Connie, was in town for a wedding so we got to see her a little here and there throughout the weekend.

Adrienne was my roommate for two years in the Chi O house.

Cheers to good friends and good times!

What a fun weekend!

Mother's Day

We spent Mother's Day in Forrest City with my family at the farm.  It was the perfect weekend and I wish we could go back and have another weekend just like it.  The weather was perfect.  The food was delicious (as always).  And we had the best time just being together.

Lots of baseball was played

Eli looks so small beside the jeep

Even the dogs had a good time!

We can't go to the farm without letting Eli ride the tractor

Lakes are so peaceful to me

My nephew, Matthew

There is a new litter of kittens in the shop.  They were soooo cute!  It's a good thing we have two dogs or we might have come home with a new kitten!

Flying kites with Grandy

Being a mother is the hardest and most rewarding job in the world.  I wouldn't trade it for anything!

3 generations of mothers in our family.  From left to right, Robyn (my sister), Grandma Graves (mom's mother), my mom, and me.  I can't remember the last time we had a picture together.

I hope all the moms out there had a wonderful day too!

Destin in April

We went to Destin in April with Chad's family.  This is the 3rd year we have been with them and we always have a great time!  The weather was a little cooler this year but it was still nice.

Be warned, there are lots of pictures from this trip.  The pictures are in no order.

On the way to Florida...

What would we do without the iPads???

1, 2, 3, GO!

Our rainy morning

Makes my heart smile :)

Brothers and best friends

Beach time.  The ocean was chilly but not as cold as the past years.  This little pool made by the ocean was actually warm and gave the kids a good area to play.

Jumping waves

Chad's parents rented a paddle board and a couple of kayaks.

Look at this water!  We stayed on the beach pretty much the entire day this day.  Who wouldn't?!?

Kayak time!

Fun in the pool.  Yes, it was heated and the temperature was perfect!

I think this is a framer!

Chad's parents kept the kids for us and we had a date night with Chad's brother and sister-in-law.  We tried Cafe Thirty-A, our new favorite restaurant!  It was fabulous!  It was fun to have a little adult time too.

We came home from our date night to this gorgeous sunset.  I'm a sucker for sunsets, especially at the beach.

Heading home from the beach.  We drove straight through for 13 hours.  It wasn't bad at all and Eli was a great traveler.

I wish we were back at the beach right now!  We are all looking forward to next April already!

April

April was also packed full of fun.

Eli started T-ball.  We were so excited he was finally old enough for T-ball.  It was quite hilarious watching the games.  He loved it!

We had fun at our church's Easter egg hunt

I made these fun pancakes the morning of Easter.  Then we went to church and out to eat.  We came home, dyed eggs and played outside with neighbors.  It was a great, low-key Easter!

Eli had a good check up at the dentist in April.  He's still a member of the "No Cavities" club!

We went to a birthday party for one of friends little girl who turned one year old.

Isn't she the cutest little doll baby!

Family selfie on the trampoline at dusk.  We are loving the longer days.  That means more time to play outside!

And longer days mean more time for riding bikes!

April went by too fast!
