We left Saturday morning at 6:00 for Destin. At first, Eli was a little confused since we got him out of bed and placed him in the car. He hasn't been awake and out of the house before the sun came up in a long time!
He was still not in the picture mood but I had to get pictures of us leaving town! It's kind of a tradition now! You can't tell by this picture, but he was really excited about going to the beach!
Eli finally allowed me to take his picture without trying to cover his face.
Eli wanted to take some pictures by himself. I gave him the camera and this is what I found on it later.
We stopped at a Chick Fil A for Eli to run off some energy... something else that has become a tradition since we started driving to Destin 3 years ago.
We had been promising Eli he could have an ice cream cone when we stopped at Chick Fil A.
We kept our promise :)
Before we left, I found this awesome dry erase board and dry erase crayons made by Crayola. I thought it would be great for the car. Turns out I was right!
Eli was so proud of his hand he traced!
We arrived in Destin around 4:00 and immediately headed to the beach!
We came back to the condo and showered before heading to dinner. The first night we ate dinner at Whale's Tail just across the street from our condo. You couldn't beat the view from our dinner table!
We're so happy to finally be at the beach!
