White Water

A couple of weekends ago we went to White Water in Branson.  The weather was perfect...... hot and sunny!  Chad's parents came up and went with us.  It was nice having Mimi and Papaw to help out with Eli.  Chad and I were actually able to ride some slides!  Eli had a GREAT time and has asked MANY times to go to the "lalow arc" (water park)!  I have a feeling we will be back as soon as we have a chance!

Eli was the perfect size for these slides in the kids area!  He went down all by himself and loved it!  Such a big boy!

All smiles!

Wanting to go again!

I was playing with my camera setting and have no clue what I did here.  It would have been a cute picture if it wasn't so bright!  I need to take a photography class to learn more about my camera.

What's a trip to the water park without an ice cream cone?
Love this face!

We were sharing this cone but he took it away and wouldn't give it back.  I will gladly give my ice cream to this face!

He finally got to the cone and discovered it's the best part!

Messy but yummy!

Eli The Artist

Eli's first time to watercolor paint!
He loved it!

First Trip to the Lake

Last weekend we finally got the boat out of storage for the first time this year!  We went to the lake maybe twice last summer because it was just too hard with Eli.  I think (or hope) we are able to go out more this year!  I think he's really going to enjoy it!

Rocking the sunglasses but refusing to smile :)

Checking out the water

The water's not too bad!

God Bless Joplin

Today some friends and I went to Joplin to help out in whatever way we could.  We went to a church (one of the many) where donations have been sent.  We sorted and organized some of the items.  It was so overwhelming!  After working we drove through the destruction.  I was pretty speechless seeing all the devastation.  Pictures just can't do it justice.  The damage just goes on and on as far as you can see.  You can tell they have started forming the rubble into piles but it will take months to clean it all up.  It's very hard to believe more people did not lose their life during that tornado.  It's amazing anyone walked out of it alive.

I highly recommend everyone go to Joplin and help out in whatever way you can.  They need all the help and prayers we can give them!

This tangled mess in the tree is a mattress.

One of the many streets completely flattened.

The Shirt Says It All

Best Friends

Eli and Alexi have been going to the same babysitter since Eli was 6 months old (Alexi is 4 months older).  They have become best friends!  It's so cute to see them together!  Eli gets so excited when we tell him he's going to Nana's (his babysitter) because he knows Alexi will be there!  He calls her "Etsy".  For the most part they get along really well!

Last week Alexi came over to play for the day.  Eli was so excited when we told him she was coming!  Until he realized he was going to have to share HIS toys!  We had a lot of talks about sharing that day!

It's no fun unless all the toys are out!

They even took turns pushing each other on the riding toys!
Such good kids!

Time for a break!
