Happy Halloween!

Eli was so excited yesterday morning.  We had been talking about trick-or-treating for a while.  His preschool Halloween party was in the morning.  They went trick-or-treating down the street and then came back to the classroom for their party.  It was his first class party and I think I was as excited as he was!  Chad dropped him off and said he immediately went up to everyone and said "Look, at my costume!  I have knee pads!"  I think he was pretty proud to be a fireman.

This is just before he went to preschool.

I wasn't there for the trick-or-treating at school but made it just in time for the party.  It took him a while to see me standing in the room.  I loved watching him with all his friends without him knowing I was there!  He's such a silly boy!

They all sat down on the carpet to play games and sing songs.  Most of the kids were singing along and but Eli was the only one doing all the motions that went with the song.  I wish he would do these things at home!  I loved watching him and seeing what he's learned at school!

Ready for some trick-or-treating!  He was so excited!

He remembered exactly what to do from last year.  And I was pretty proud that he remembered to say "thank you" at almost every house.

This picture is a little blurry but I had to show you.  He ran between each house and had to take off his hat so it wouldn't fly off.  Just as he got to the next door he would put his hat back on.  He was serious about this trick-or-treating stuff!

We met up with my friend, Juli, and her kids for trick-or-treating.

Eli, Talan and Alexi just before trick-or-treating.

Eli insisted on taking his axe with us while trick-or-treating.  You know every fireman carries an axe, right??  I knew this is what would happen... we would end up carry it!  If I come up missing you all know what happened!  Ha!

October is now gone and November is here!  Tomorrow is going to be a great day!  It's Chad's birthday!!!  And Chad's brother, sister-in-law and their kids (Grant and Lily) are coming in from Connecticut tomorrow morning bright and early.  We were afraid they wouldn't be able to come because of Hurricane Sandy.  But LaGuardia opened back up today and their flight is still on schedule at this time!  Everyone say an extra little prayer they have safe travels tomorrow.  I'm sure the crazy airport is the last place they all want to be after going through a hurricane!

Enjoy the weekend!
