I'm finally posting the rest of our Destin pictures. Sorry it's taken me so long.
Here ya go!
No matter how much these boys argue over toys and who can do something better, faster or first, at the end of the day they love each other. They are going to grow up as best friends even though they live 1000+ miles apart. I loved this sweet moment!
I hadn't mentioned yet that Chad's parents drove down on Wednesday to spend some time with all of us. The kids were so excited to see Mimi and Papaw. I wish I was better at remembering to take pictures. I didn't get a single picture of the kids with their grandparents. I did manage to get this one of Papaw helping the kiddos dig a huge hole at the beach!
I think Eli could dig in the sand and play with his dump trucks ALL DAY LONG.
This is the final hole. It was huge! Papaw and Eli built a levee between the hole and ocean so water wouldn't get in the hole.
Goodbye beach! See you again in September!
Later that night we enjoyed dinner at McGuire's Irish Pub, our favorite restaurant in Destin. We always save it for the last night!
The next morning we hit the road. We had been dreading this 14 hour drive all week. We always break up our trip down into two days. We had a couple of things we needed to be home for on Saturday so we decided to make the entire drive back in one day.
We have been blessed with an easy traveler! Eli has always traveled really well. He watched many movies, played games on the iPad and slept. We only stopped 3 times I believe. I think our key to an easy trip is stopping at a playground at some point (like McD's or Chick-Fil-A) to let him run off some energy.
Yes! We've made it back to Arkansas! Unfortunately, we still had 5 hours at this point.
It's always nice to go on vacation but just as nice to be back home and in our routine.
