Surgery success

Chad finally had his 12 year old knee injury repaired.
The surgery was a success (so far).
It only took 30 minutes and he was fixed!

Eli on the other hand is having lots of fun with Daddy's cane
and has no idea Daddy has a "boo boo".
And he hasn't started beating things with the cane like he does with his golf clubs.
Not yet anyway.

Male bonding

Josey and Jiggy had some male doggy-bonding tonight.
They chased each other around the yard, had a bark contest and then followed it up with sharing the water bowl.
They are slowly becoming friends.
This is them during the bark contest.
It was quite annoying.
Poor neighbors.

Running will make you thirsty!

Jiggy was trying to ignore the camera.  He's such a pretty pup!

Just like Dad

Eli has taken notice to all the hats Chad wears.
He insists on wearing them around the house to be just like his Daddy!

I think he's quite cute!

And although he looks like he's pain, I assure you he's not.
This is the face he makes when he's posing!
He's one funny boy!

Being Silly

Eli was acting extra silly this morning.  He started
making faces immediately when
I got out the camera.

Can you see his new teeth on the bottom?
Hopefully these are the last ones for a while!
I'm so over this teething thing.

Or baseball player?

I'm gonna go with baseball player, how about you?

Jump, jump, jump

I think we have a future long jumper on our hands.  What do you think?

We're still alive!

Yes, I know, I know... I'm not very good at this blogging thing.  I've been busy.  I'm sorry.  But we are still very much alive here in NW Arkansas.  Eli has been a little under the weather since last weekend.  Nothing more than a summer cold.  He hasn't been sick since he had his tubes put in back in April.  I almost forgot how to wipe his nose!

He's sleeping in his bed ALL NIGHT LONG now.  And he even goes to sleep on his own!  It's a great accomplishment in this house!  We started out having to lay in the floor in his room for him to go to sleep but now he does it completely on his own.  We just put him in bed, he cries for maybe 5 minutes and then lays down.  We're so proud of him!

Here a few pictures of what we've been up to lately.

Don't worry, we don't usually force child labor.  Eli thought he would be like Daddy and help clean up the dog water he spilled.  Nothing like a flannel blanket to clean up dog water, but hey, whatever works...

Hard at playing but taking time for a picture before going to bed.  I think he takes the saying "bug out" on his pajamas literally.  I will post videos of him "bugging out" when I have some time off from work.

And last but not least....
Maybe one day he will learn not to let Mom take embarrassing photos that can be shared with girlfriends when he's older  :)

24 lbs of fun

Sorry I haven't been very good at blogging the past week or so.  Chad and I have been extremely busy with work.  We try to spend all our time with Eli once we get home.  Here are a couple of pictures of the crazy boy from this week.  He was playing hard and showing out!

This would be a good workout for your arms!  24 lbs of pure fun!

Table for three

Last weekend we had date night, all three of us!
We got all dressed up and went to Carrabba's.  Yummy!  Eli was actually better than expected so it made for a fun night!  I felt the need to take pictures since we were all dressed up.  I love the picture of Eli and Chad.  Aren't they the cutest things you've ever seen?!

Time out... or not?

We've been trying to find a discipline that works with Eli so we've been putting him in time out. Most of the time he doesn't like it and cries but will sit there until we come get him out. Yesterday I thought I would try to snap a picture of him sitting in time out. As soon as he saw the camera he gave a huge CHEESE! Maybe time out isn't working???

Happy 20 month birthday, Eli!

Yesterday I decided to start putting Eli in his booster seat at the big table. He loved it! He looks like such a big boy to me! Happy 20 month birthday, Eli!
