Today some friends and I went to Joplin to help out in whatever way we could. We went to a church (one of the many) where donations have been sent. We sorted and organized some of the items. It was so overwhelming! After working we drove through the destruction. I was pretty speechless seeing all the devastation. Pictures just can't do it justice. The damage just goes on and on as far as you can see. You can tell they have started forming the rubble into piles but it will take months to clean it all up. It's very hard to believe more people did not lose their life during that tornado. It's amazing anyone walked out of it alive.
I highly recommend everyone go to Joplin and help out in whatever way you can. They need all the help and prayers we can give them!

The first picture is one of my grandpas house. He has decided to rebuild. We have the new roof most of the way on at this point. Helping out and rebuilding is the best way I've found to keep our heads up.
